Since the last 3 years we have been passing through a pandemic caused by acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) related 19 corona virus disease (COVID-19), that appeared in the later half of 2019 and subsequently affected population of nearly all countries across the world. The large scale destruction it resulted in, including increase in utilization of healthcare resources and loss of lives, was unimaginable at the time when the disease was starting to spread across the globe. Although the disease has affected all age groups, overall incidence of pediatric COVID-19 infection is relatively less compared to adults.1 According to available data, less than 10% of all COVID-19 cases are seen in children and young adolescents.
