Urolithiasis, characterized by calculi formation within the kidneys and urinary tract, remains a common urological disorder with rising global prevalence. It is characterized by the presence of stones in the kidneys or in the urinary tract (pelvis, ureter, bladder). Calcium oxalate stones represent the most frequent type of urinary tract calculi, developing when calcium binds with oxalate in urine and precipitates into crystals.
